Bill wanted a Dune Buggy for a very long time. Some of the men in our church have them and formed a buggy club here in Susanville California.

Our oldest daugther had an old Dodge Van with a blown head that she and her husband were going to repair. The more they worked on it , the more things they found wrong and it was not worth putting money into. A friend wanted the Van as he had another engine to put in it.

He just happand to have a Meyers Manx in his back yard so on 01 Sept. 2001. they traded. Cheryl gave the buggy to her daddy for Christmas. It was running but needed everything to be street legal

This is what we started with.

On December 19, 2001, Bill had a massive heart attack. On December 21, he had to have a triple by-pass, and on December 27, they had to go back in and repair everything due to a coughing spell. He finally came home on January 4, 2002. In March 02, he put his buggy in the shop and started working on it.
